Scientific research into HEMP oil benefits has been undertaken in many countries in recent years.

Many people associate cannabis with the psychoactive properties of the compound THC. But it’s becoming increasingly apparent that THC is overshadowed by the cannabinoids (CBD) in cannabis which provide natural anti-anxiety, anti-epileptic and anti-psychotic effects. You can read more about the difference between THC and HEMP OIL in THIS ARTICLE.

Cannabidiol doesn’t have a noticeable recreational effect or high when isolated from THC, but new research into cannabis is identifying the component as being the one responsible for many medical benefits.

The current song and dance about the availability in Canadian of medical marijuana – the kind which includes THC and which is only available by prescription, lengthy documentation, and red tape, is leading people to believe that non-psychoactive cannabidiol is not as effective.

This is just not true.

Here are 10 HEMP Oil Benefits which might surprise you:

Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

Hemp is now well known to provide anti-anxiety and anti-inflammatory effects and people suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) are often overcome with anxiety and stress, so will find relief by using cannabidiol. Finding safe and effective treatment with minimal side-effects is essential. This article explains why hemp oil offers such great results.

As far back as 2009 STUDIES IN ISRAEL found the use of Hemp prevented the development of diabetes in non-obese diabetic mice. The studies confirmed the potential of HEMP in the treatment and prevention of autoimmune disease and isolated Cannabidiol HEMP as a potent anti-inflammatory agent.

The Journal of Clinical Investigation published a research paper on the effects of HEMP on acne in 2014 and found that, due to its combined lipo static, antiproliferative, and anti-inflammatory effects, HEMP oil benefits as a promising therapeutic agent for the treatment of acne vulgaris.

The most common treatments for fibromyalgia are anti-inflammatories, opioid pain medications, and corticosteroids, all of which are known to produce side effects. A University of Granada (Spain)

research paper published the results of studies that focused on HEMP treatment for fibromyalgia and these showed very promising results for future uses in treatment. Half of the participants used HEMP, while the other half used traditional methods to treat their condition. Those that used cannabis saw a greater reduction in their symptoms and pain, while those using traditional methods didn’t see much of an improvement.

Addiction to Cigarettes

The University of London conducted a pilot, randomised double blind placebo controlled study set out to assess the impact of the ad-hoc use of cannabidiol HEMP in smokers who wished to stop smoking. 24 smokers were randomised to receive an inhaler of HEMP or placebo for one week with instructions to use the inhaler when they felt the urge to smoke. Over the treatment week, placebo-treated smokers showed no differences in the number of cigarettes smoked. In contrast, those treated with CBD significantly reduced the number of cigarettes smoked by 40% during treatment. Results also indicated some maintenance of this effect at follow-up. These preliminary data, combined with the strong preclinical rationale for use of this compound, suggest HEMP be a potential treatment for nicotine addiction that warrants further exploration.

Mad Cow Disease

A study published in the Journal of Neuroscience way back in 2007 demonstrated that non-psychoactive Cannabidiol was shown to halt prions, which are the proteins that cause neurodegenerative diseases like Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease and mad cow. The formation and accumulation of prions were prevented with the aid of cannabidiol.

Crohn’s Disease

There are studies strongly indicate that HEMP could be an effective treatment for bowel diseases like Crohn’s Disease. In agreement with the ancient use of Cannabis in intestinal disturbances and one decade of animal research, Cannabis was shown in a clinical trial to reduce symptoms in patients with Crohn’s Disease. The anti-inflammatory HEMP oil benefits bring a lot of relief to those suffering from this condition.

The Hypnogenic properties of cannabis have been recognized for centuries. There are medical studies as recent as 2016 which have demonstrated that the HEMP component of cannabis, as opposed to psychoactive THC, produces an increase in non-rapid eye movement (NREM) sleep due to an augmentation of the length of NREM bouts (NREM stability). Synthetic pharmaceuticals for aiding sleep leave you feeling groggy the next day, so its good to know there is a safe option with non-habit forming HEMP.

Multiple Sclerosis

CBD Oil studies undertaken in Spain used animal models and cell cultures to present evidence that the non-psychotropic cannabinoid HEMP has beneficial immunoregulatory actions in Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Mice with 10 days of HEMP treatment demonstrated superior motor skills and showed improvement in their condition. Researchers concluded that HEMP provides long-term positive effects for various aspects of MS.

A team of German researchers published a study in 2012 which compared the results between potent antipsychotic drug Amisulpride and HEMP on 42 schizophrenia patients. Both treatments were found to be effective, but the short side-effect profile of HEMP out-shone the pharmaceutical option.

A 2014 study undertaken by USA scientists found that the anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory effects of non-intoxicating cannabidiol HEMP could not only augment the effects of standard antipsychotic drugs but also target the metabolic, inflammatory and stress-related components of schizophrenia.
